The GSO Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation funded by the student
activity fee. All full-time and part-time nonprofessional graduate
students who pay the activity fee are members of the GSO. The
GSO is located in the Computer Science Building, room 2105.

Education Program (PEP)
Students who wish to enter the teaching profession have a new
on-campus resource, the Professional Education Program (PEP).
PEP redesigns and unifies Stony Brook’s teacher education
programs while addressing New York State’s teaching standards.
PEP offers teacher preparation in English, European Languages,
Mathematics, Life and Physical Sciences, Social Studies and TESOL
as well as in-service and community outreach programs.
