Personal Bio

In 1989,Ye Li received her Master's degree in Classical Chinese Literature from Capital Normal University in China. Since that time, some of her engagements in the field of Chinese language and literature have been as follows:  editor at the Publishing House of Capital Normal University; lecturer at Tsinghua University; journalist for Suburb Monthly, a Chinese-language magazine for Long Island.  She is happy to find her new academic home in SUNY at Stony Brook and receives great satisfaction in the teaching of Chinese language and literature.

1994        Tao Yuan Ming Xin Lun 陶渊明新论 (A New Interpretation of Tao Yuan Ming),  Second Place for Best Planning and Editing, Beijing City Government

1992        Guo Ji Liao Zhai Lun Wen Ji 国际聊斋论文集 (An International Anthology of Essays on Liao Zhai), First Place for Best Planning and Editing, National Educational Book Excellence.

Published Work

In the past few years, Ye Li has edited about 60 books.  She has also published a book, 12 research papers, and more than 20 articles including prose, biographical literature, and journal reports. Her research interests include literary interpretation and criticism. She also enjoys creative writing.
